On April 24, 2023, the annual obstetrics competition was held for a total of 37 students among 33 two-grade midwifery students of diploma and bachelor, and also 4 three-grade midwifery students of bachelor. Divided into four teams, the students were evaluated on their knowledge and skills. The judges for the competition were Ts. Erdmaa, a senior teacher of the clinical department and clinical professor, D.Ulziijargal, a junior doctor from the maternity ward of Darkhan-Uul province general hospital, J.Jargalsaikhan, a qualified midwife, and H.Monkhchuluun, a clinical department teacher. For advantages of competition, the students and judges reached the following conclusions:
• Following up on Normal Pregnant Women, I, II, and III stages of Labor; performing team-based obstetric care tasks in the early stages of the newborn; By assessing team management, teamwork skills, and hands-on skills, the importance of teamwork was introduced.
• Prepared a short video to promote the midwifery profession.
• Furthermore, the timing of the event being held prior to the state exam for grade promotion presents an opportunity to better prepare for the exam and gain a deeper understanding of the necessary steps for further attention.
In 1st place in the competition, the KHUIN EEJ team led by B.Tsaschiher who is a 2nd-year student of Midwifery Bachelor; in 2nd place, The ANUBIS team led by G.Ochmaa who is a 2nd-year student of Midwifery, and those teams were awarded with HONOR ROLL and Cash prizes.
